POSITION: Part-Time Administrative Assistant in the Radiologic Technology (RT) Department HALL CAMPUS
REPORTS TO: Radiologic Technology Program Director
HOURLY RATE: $25.00 Up to 19.5 hours per week

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The RT program Part-Time Administrative Assistant has a part-time appointment as defined by the institution; he/she must possess excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills and will perform clerical and support duties for the department.
Duties will include but not limited to:
Provide clerical and administrative support to the Director and faculty of the RT Programs
Respond efficiently to inquiries and requests for information by providing assistance via telephone personal contact and email
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with other employees at Lanier Technical College (LTC) and other LTC instructional sites transmitting information accurately and tactfully
Assist the RT Program Director with special RT events held throughout the year; Example: RT Pinning Ceremony
Maintain office files electronic student files and other appropriate records
Help maintain all affiliation agreements and contract revisions for all RT clinical partners in the college service area.
Prepare documents as requested by Program Director and RT Faculty
Serve as the primary responsible party for compiling the competitive admissions criteria for the radiologic technology program each year
Assist in identifying receiving organizing and maintaining inventory of office & clinical supplies in labs
Perform general clerical duties including organizing filing shredding and photocopying documents and files etc.
Compose written correspondence and materials such as creating and updating all departmental forms preparing minutes reports statistical data and other materials pertaining to the RT Program
Schedule appointments meetings send out meeting notices and assist in maintaining the department calendar
Perform assigned responsibilities duties and tasks according to established practices procedures techniques and standards independently in a safe manner and with minimal supervision
Communicate with IT Helpdesk for any computer and overhead projector equipment failures or installs
Communicate with maintenance personnel to report RT problems identified in workspaces
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Thorough knowledge of the principles of office management and of modern office procedures systems and equipment;
Knowledge of department and college policies procedures and practices with the ability to answer work-related questions; and/or interpret and apply these guidelines correctly in various situations;
Proficiency of conversational English with the ability to write in complete sentences using appropriate words correct grammar punctuation spelling and professional sentence syntax;
Ability to use independent judgment and discretion;
Detailed-oriented with skills in proofreading materials and data entry to ensure accuracy;
Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information;
Ability to develop and maintain electronic filing systems;
Ability to deal with internal and external customers/stakeholders in a tactful and courteous manner; Ability to devise or adopt office procedures to changing organizational needs;
Ability to organize and coordinate functions and tasks with frequent interruptions;
Ability to work flexible hours up to 19.5 hours per week;
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE and LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
A High School Diploma or equivalent and two (2) years administrative support experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Associates degree. More than two (2) years administrative support experience. Experience in the healthcare environment.
