Note: Applicants must be admitted to the New York State Bar and have at least 1 year of landlord-tenant or housing litigation experience. Candidates must be able to attend in-person court appearances throughout New York City.

Job Description

• Represent clients in Housing Court and other courts throughout all five boroughs of New York City.
• Manage landlord-tenant and housing litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings motions affirmations legal correspondence and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and prepare for hearings conferences motions and trials.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
• Communicate professionally with clients opposing counsel court personnel and other stakeholders.
• Independently manage deadlines caseloads and assigned matters with minimal supervision.
• Deliver strategic legal guidance while maintaining exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• Active New York State Bar license in good standing.
• 1 year of landlord-tenant or housing litigation experience.
• Strong legal research writing analytical and advocacy skills.
• Experience drafting litigation documents and appearing in court.
• Excellent organization case management and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of New York City.
• Must be available for full-time employment and regular in-person court appearances.
