Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land Surveyor to join our team. This role is responsible for performing field surveys collecting accurate site data and assisting in the preparation of maps plats and reports. A professional surveying license is required. This role is onsite in Virginia Beach VA.
Pay: $70000- $85000 annually
Role and Responsibilities
Conduct field surveys using GPS total stations data collectors and other surveying equipment
Perform boundary topographic construction layout and as-built surveys
Collect process and verify survey data with accuracy and attention to detail
Assist in preparing survey drawings maps legal descriptions point clouds and related documentation
Collaborate with project managers engineers and field crews to ensure project requirements are met
Maintain troubleshoot and properly store all surveying equipment
Ensure compliance with company safety protocols
Support licensed surveyors and senior staff with project-related tasks
Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree in surveying geomatics civil engineering or a related field is a plus
Experience in land surveying or construction layout preferred
Ability to read and interpret plans maps and legal descriptions
Strong math problem-solving and spatial reasoning skills
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
LSIT/PLS license required
Must be a US Citizen
