Our specialty hospital is seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Assistant to support our technicians and specialists in providing exceptional patient care.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment learning new skills and being part of a collaborative team without the burnout that often comes with veterinary medicine.

Pay Range: $15$20 per hour (based on experience)

No weekends
No holidays
34 shifts per week

We believe veterinary assistants are essential to patient care and hospital success. Our assistants are respected members of the medical team and play an important role in hospital operations.

Veterinary Assistants support patient care and hospital flow through a variety of responsibilities including:

Safely handling and restraining patients
Assisting technicians and specialists with treatments and procedures
Performing in-house laboratory work
Preparing and maintaining treatment areas
Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments
Restocking supplies and organizing equipment
Supporting hospital cleanliness and daily maintenance
Assisting the front desk team when needed

Helping admit patients and getting them settled comfortably
Assisting technicians and specialists with treatments and procedures
Running in-house lab samples and preparing equipment
Keeping treatment areas organized and ready for the next patient
Supporting the team so appointments and procedures run smoothly
Jumping in where needed because teamwork is how we succeed

Part-Time
34 shifts per week

Shifts range from daytime to early evening

No weekends
No holidays

12 years of veterinary assistant experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to stay calm and focused in a busy environment
Dependable professional and team-oriented
Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Specialty experience is not required we are happy to train the right candidate who is eager to grow.
