Position Title:Laminating Pouch & Finishing Operator

Position Overview:

In this rolethe Laminating Pouch & Finishing Press Operator is a flexible resource that willbe responsible forassistingin the operation of a lamination machine Pouch making equipment and the label finishing press to produce quality matched finished products.S/hewillmaintainthe safety quality and maintenance of the equipment and ensure good manufacturing practices. The
ideal candidate should have deep familiarity with finishing press operations substrates
inks and finishing processes. The ability tooperatelarge format printers and finishing is a plus. This role reports to the General Manager.

Objectives &Responsibilities:

• Perform the setup and operation of the laminating machine.
• Assistin the setup and operation of the pouching machine.
• Assistin the setup and operation of the label finishing machine.
• Ensure the press room is stocked with needed supplies i.e. ink film stock etc.
• Maintain and clean press before and after each shift.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of problems during machine operation.
• Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out.
• Ensure all safety devices and guards are fullyoperationaland that safety proceduresare beingobserved.
• Ensure that machinesare producingquality products by managing periodic checkson output.
• Record all production performance counts downtime and other quality orproduction related information asrequired.
• Meet specified production performance targets.
• Participate in production process improvement efforts.
• Visually inspect products for quality checks registration ink coverage andnumberingsequence.
• Perform calibrations andmaintainconsistent output of colorfinishand registration.
• Assistin QC Shipping and Delivery when needed tomaintaina proper lead time for all products.

Skills &Qualifications:

• 2 years of related print/press experience
• High School graduate or completion of GEDrequired
• This position requires an individual who is technically and mechanically orientedwith strong computer skills with file-to-print process
• Perform all work and activities with honesty and integrity
• Take personal responsibility for productivityqualityand timeliness of work
• Effectively communicate (and listen) clearly professionallypolitelyand persuasivelyin all situations; respond well and in a reasonabletimelymanner
