Lactation Resource RN | Obstetrics and Women's Health Clinic

Will develop implement and educate patients families & staff on proper breast-feeding techniques and lactation in conjunction with the RN Lactation Nurses Providers to promote family centered care. Position serves as a clinical expert consultant education leader and liaison between the patient/ family provider staff. This person will help grow the exclusive breastfeeding rates through telehealth education awareness and networking. The position provides research and evidenced based care to lactation consultants to drive breastfeeding success and improve the health of mother and baby both on an inpatient and outpatient basis as well as communities at large. Position actively and consistently demonstrates the mission vision values and guiding principles of CentraCare. Patients cared for include childbearing women and newborn infants. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate.

Schedule:

• Part-time 16-24 hours every two weeks St. Cloud
• Days working hours variable between 8am-5pm

• Pay based on experience and degree

  • Associate/Diploma in nursing starting at $37.27 per hour

  • Bachelors in nursing starting at $38.56 per hour

  • Masters in nursing starting at $39.84 per hour

• Associate degree from an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelors or masters preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota required.
• Basic LifeSupport (BLS) Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy required.
• 1 years to 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting with background in post partum labor and delivery special care nursery or pediatrics required
• 3 years of breastfeeding education/instruction experience required
• Certified Lactation Counselor Current certification (IBCLC) preferred
• Knowledge of nursing standards policies procedures ethics and experience in supporting nutritional needs of mother/ infant
• Possesses theability to understand patients medical records physician orders and medication orders to be communicated to the patient and hospital staff.
