Position Summary

Laborers will perform a variety of physical tasks on heavyhighwayroad and bridge construction projects. This positionis responsible forassistingwith site preparation cleanup material handling traffic control and general construction activities as directed by the supervisor. The role requires strong attention to safety reliability and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.

WhatYoullDo

• Perform tasks involving physical labor on heavy civil construction projects
• Assist concrete drainage and retaining wall crews as needed
• Load and unload materials and equipment safely and efficiently
• Flag and direct traffic passing near in or around work zones
• Set up and maintain traffic control devices
• Operate hand and power tools as required
• Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
• Work safely in all weather conditions including heat cold rain and wind
• Lift push and/or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Follow all company safety guidelines and participate in safety meetings
• Perform other labor-related duties as assigned by the supervisor

WhatWereLooking For

• Previous experience in construction labor preferred but not required
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Strong work ethic reliability and attention to safety
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tool operation preferred
• Dependable self-motivated and task-oriented
