Laboratory Technician I

• Responsible for pre-analytical processes within the life cycle of the laboratory specimen: collection packaging shipping receiving processing tracking and archiving
• Responsible for receiving and storing reagents both in the facility and in LabVantage
• Responsible for inventory management
• Responsible for post-analytical processes including sample disposition and archive sendouts
• Contributes to laboratory maintenance as assigned
• Interfaces with Eurofins DPT clients to resolve specimen inquiries and requests
• Recommends changes in services processes and policies that enhance pre-analytical efficiencies
• Performs duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies.
• Assists department as needed with routine operations
• Supports Eurofins DPTs business philosophy leadership values and ethics
• In order to meet Eurofins DPTs quality policy and objectives all employees are expected to meet basic expectations of Eurofins DPTs quality management system including but not limited to good workmanship adherence to standard operational procedures training good documentation practices and accurate recordkeeping.

Qualifications :

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 0 2 years of experience
• New to the clinical laboratory testing environment
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong Communication Skills and analytical skills

 POTENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS

• This laboratory carefully maintains all hazardous materials.  All employees must abide by Eurofins DPTs Safety and Exposure procedures.  This includes using the provided safety clothing and equipment.

Compensation:

• $19.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Wednesday-Saturday 10:00am-8:30pm
