How will you make an impact & Requirements

Responsibilities

• Performs painless venipuncture and capillary puncture for the Coumadin clinic

• Identifies patient following protocol.

• Prepares samples for processing w/correct label and bar code and inspects vials

• Reconciles outstanding sample report at days end.

• Observe safety procedures and sample prep.

• Support and guide in day-to-day activities.

• Clean up old orders and combine orders in Copia know which tests are duplicates and which are necessary for measures.

• Demonstrate excellent guest service to internal team members and patients.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or M.A. certification or certificate from a phlebotomy program.

• 1 years of experience in Lab preferred

• Understand labeling/ID protocol and knowledge of common lab tests sample types and vacutainers.

• Understand Biohazard OSHA safety regulations for medical offices and Universal precautions.

• Knowledge of test requirements and how to search Quest/LabCorp for esoteric tests.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced cross-functional environment.
