Job Summary

Our Assistant Manager is an essential part of our laboratory team who is responsible for assisting the lab manager in planning coordinating and supervising all of the functions within the laboratory including testing staffing training scheduling maintaining supplies and relating with departments administration other labs and physicians. Ensures that services are the best quality are cost contained and carried out in a professional timely manner. Responsible for recognizing results or problems that require referral to the lab manager.

Qualifications

- Associates or Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field (required)

- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) preferred Board certification required within one year of employment

- Minimum of 2 years experience in a clinical laboratory setting

- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience

- Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills
