Job Summary

Overview

Our San Francisco office has an opportunity for a Labor & Employment Of Counsel to join the firms expanding practice. The Employment Counsel will be expected to perform all the duties of a traditional law firm attorney with an emphasis on counseling clients on employment-law-related matters. Duties include but are not limited to performing legal research drafting of legal memoranda motions and pleadings attending court conferences handling discovery-related activities and investigations drafting of position statements and dispositive motions and counseling clients on employment-law-related matters. The right candidate will have a passion for employment law strong analytical and writing skills and will add their enthusiasm to our affable team-oriented environment.

Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for the position in accordance with the Fair Chance Ordinance.

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law in California and in good standing in California. During employment must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice.
  • 8 years of Employment Litigation Defense experience is preferred.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Outstanding academic credentials (top 20% of law school class; participation in extracurricular activities such as Law Review and/or Moot Court)
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Benefits

In accordance with Californias amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162 the expected salary range for this California position is between $262500 and $300000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience geographic location and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This position qualifies for the benefits below.
