A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Portland office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing employers in sophisticated labor and employment litigation class actions administrative proceedings and workplace counseling matters.

25 years of labor & employment litigation experience

Experience handling class action single-plaintiff and administrative charge matters preferred

Experience preparing position statements evaluating claims conducting discovery taking and defending depositions and drafting motions

Experience preparing matters for mediation arbitration and trial

Experience researching and analyzing federal state and local employment laws

Experience counseling employers HR professionals and business executives on employment law compliance is a plus

Experience drafting employment agreements policies and related employment documents preferred

Strong legal research writing analytical and advocacy skills

Excellent writing skills attention to detail and strong academic credentials required

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Oregon bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Sophisticated employer-side labor and employment practice

Exposure to class actions administrative proceedings and complex employment disputes

Significant client interaction and responsibility
