We are seeking a Labor & Employment Associate with 2–4 years of employment defense experience to join a nationally recognized Labor & Employment practice. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys representing employers in complex employment disputes while providing practical business-focused legal advice. You will work closely with experienced attorneys on litigation investigations counseling and strategic employment matters involving state and federal employment laws.

This position offers significant client interaction early responsibility and the opportunity to develop both litigation and business development skills within a collaborative high-performing legal team.

• Represent employers in labor and employment litigation before state and federal courts administrative agencies arbitrators and mediators.
• Conduct witness interviews and workplace investigations.
• Draft position statements pleadings motions briefs and other litigation documents.
• Prepare employment agreements separation agreements restrictive covenant agreements and other employment-related documents.
• Manage discovery document review depositions and case strategy.
• Provide day-to-day employment counseling on workplace policies compliance and employee relations issues.
• Collaborate with partners and clients to develop practical risk-based legal solutions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while demonstrating ownership of matters and exceptional client service.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of the New York State Bar.
• 2–4 years of employment defense experience at a law firm.
• Experience handling employment litigation in state and federal courts.
• Experience before administrative agencies mediators or arbitrators.
• Strong legal research writing analytical and advocacy skills.
• Experience drafting pleadings dispositive motions and position statements.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and witness interviews.
• Excellent organizational communication and client relationship management skills.
• Demonstrated interest in long-term professional growth and business development.
