Labor & Employment Associate

Friedman Williams is seeking a talented junior associate with 2 years experience in labor and employment law to join our clients growing management-side practice in Los Angeles. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take on meaningful responsibility in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Represent employers in all aspects of labor and employment litigation including discrimination harassment wage and hour wrongful termination and restrictive covenant matters.
• Draft and respond to discovery requests and manage all facets of the discovery process.
• Draft pleadings motions and legal memoranda.
• Support partners and senior associates in case strategy hearings and trial preparation.
• Communicate with clients opposing counsel and third parties professionally and effectively.
• Stay current on federal state and local employment law.

REQUIREMENTS

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Admission to the California state bar required.
• Strong writing analytical and communication skills.
• Proven ability to handle discovery independently.
• A proactive team-oriented mindset with a commitment to client service and professional growth.

COMPENSATION
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $205000$240000 depending upon experience and other relevant factors. This is a generous bonus-eligible job that features a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical dental and vision insurance a 401(k) and paid time off.
