Our renowned 16-week Labor & Birth Nurse Residency Program is designed to help you transition successfully from student nurse to professional RN through immersive learning mentorship and hands-on clinical experience.

As a Labor & Birth RN at Mercy youll:
- Deliver compassionate evidence-based patient care
- Develop and manage individualized patient care plans
- Assess monitor and respond to changing patient conditions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams
- Conduct bedside handoffs and patient safety reporting
- Educate patients and families throughout their care journey
- Utilize diagnostic laboratory and fetal monitoring data
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Support professional growth through ongoing education and certifications
- Serve as a patient advocate while promoting exceptional outcomes
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ADN Diploma or BSN)
- Current RN License or eligibility for licensure in the state of Missouri
- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (or obtained within 30 days of hire)
- ACLS
- NRP
- S.T.A.B.L.E.
- C-EFM
- PALS
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
