Job Summary

Overview

Ogletree Deakins is seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic and long-established practice representing premier local and national employers. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in employment and labor law with expertise in labor arbitrations unfair labor practice charges collective bargaining union campaigns and related areas. Traditional labor work is a key component of this role.

In addition the candidate will have the opportunity to be part of our expanding employment litigation defense practice taking on a significant role in litigation with extensive contact with clients and opposing counsel. This is an excellent opportunity for proactive and passionate attorneys who are eager to assume a high-level role within a sophisticated practice. The position involves significant responsibilities in all aspects of labor and employment law requiring extensive interaction with clients governmental agencies and opposing counsel.

Qualifications
  • Juris candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of California. During employment must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice. Must have California license.
  • Candidates must possess at least 3 years of traditional labor experience.
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills are required.
  • Strong writing and public speaking skills are required.

Benefits

In accordance with Californias amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162 the expected salary range for this California position is between $210000 and $275000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience geographic location and other job-related factors as permitted by law. A competitive hours-based bonus is also available. This position qualifies for the benefits below.
