The role of the Physical Lab Technician is to take care of our customers. Tasks include but are not limited to the procurement of samples dimensional and mechanical testing operation and maintenance of equipment and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data for the certification of material. Safety is an important part of jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies procedures and housekeeping standards to always make safety and quality a priority Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Must be willing to work weekends holidays rotating shifts as well as scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
- 1 year experience working in an industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of steel industry steel grades and quality systems.
- Prior Physical Lab testing experience
