Due to continued growth we are seeking aLab Technicianto join our clinical team in the Milledgeville GAarea. This role plays a vital part in deliveringaccuratetimelydiagnostic results through high-complexity real-time PCR testing and other laboratory procedures that directlyimpactpatient care.
The Lab Technicianis responsible forperforming high-complexity molecular diagnostic testing including real-time PCR while ensuring compliance with CLIA regulations quality standards and MainStreet Family Care values. This position supports providers by producing reliable laboratory results that enable efficient diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform CLIA high-complexity real-time PCR testingin accordance withestablished protocols and regulatory requirements
Collect prepare process and analyze patient specimens
Accurately document laboratory results in the electronic medical record
Perform quality control procedures calibration and routine maintenance on laboratory equipment
Ensure compliance with CLIA OSHA HIPAA and infection control standards
Prepare and manage specimens for internal and external testing as needed
Monitor laboratory inventory reagents andexpirationdates
Identify troubleshoot and report testing discrepancies equipment issues or quality concerns
Maintain a clean organized and safe laboratory environment
Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support efficient operations

Minimum Qualifications
Medical laboratory certification or aBachelors degree in chemical biological clinical or medical laboratory science that is compliant with CLIA standards.
Two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience including molecular or PCR-based testing
Preferred Qualifications
Five (5) years of clinical laboratory experience
Experience performing high-complexity real-time PCR testing in a regulated laboratory environment
Experience in urgent care primary care or high-volume clinical settings
Required Skills Knowledge and Abilities
Proficiencyin real-time PCR and molecular diagnostic techniques
Knowledge of high-complexity laboratory testing standards and CLIA requirements
Strong attention to detail and quality assurance practices
Ability to troubleshoot testing and equipment issues
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Schedule
Approximately 30-40hoursper week
10-hour shifts scheduled across 7 days per week
Rotating shifts including weekends and holidays as needed
Schedule may vary based on operational and testing volume needs
Compensation & Benefits
