About the Opportunity
Job Summary
The Lab Technician will perform bench-level experiments and small independent research projects to support the Institutes scientific research Lab Technician will analyze experimental data address methodological problems in experimental protocols and results and report data to the Principal Investigator.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Conduct bench level experiments and small independent research projects in consultation with the Principal Investigator or other project manager.
Operate lab equipment and prepare and order necessary supply work with vendors to address equipment reagent or supply issues.
Document compile and assist in interpreting experimental data. Report data to supervisor in oral and written reports.
Assist the PI or other Project Manager in determining the order of research processes that best support essential project goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree required in Biology or a field directly related to the work.
Excellent written and oral communication skills strong organizational skills required.
Proficiency in basic lab techniques required. Knowledge of principles of molecular biology and various scientific databases and publications preferred.
