Job Grade 114Work Shift: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm with Rotating Weekends - day off during the week.
Must be able to train either 6:30 am - 3:00 pm either Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday. 12 Weeks Training.
Hourly Pay Rate: 18.27 - 18.67 DOE

Vitalant is seeking a Laboratory Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Laboratory Technician is vital. Support Vitalants life-saving mission by operating within the laboratory handling responsibilities that include component production labeling record reviewing and data entry.
What to Expect
Work Shift: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm with Rotating Weekends - day off during the week.
Training: Must be able to train 6:30 am - 3:00 pm Sunday - Thursday or
Tuesday - Saturday. 12 Weeks Training
Hourly Pay Rate: 18.27 - 18.67 DOE

As a Laboratory Technician youll get to
- Maintain accurate data records and documentation.
- Prepare blood components through processes such as centrifugation separation freezing thawing washing storage sterile docking transformation and filtration.
- Ensure product quality volume appearance and time requirements.
- Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures.
- High School or GED required

SKILLS/ABILITIES
Must be able to stand for long periods of time bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be detail oriented and possess strong communication organization and analytical skills.
Must be able to maintain donor patient and employee confidentiality.
Must possess basic keyboarding skills and the ability to handle and operate laboratory equipment.
Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime when necessary.
