Job Summary:
The Lab QA Regulatory Specialist ensures that Deaconess Clinic Labs are compliant with CAP COLA and CLIA regulations. This role provides oversight for laboratory accreditation quality assurance and non-laboratory based POC testing. Additionally the coordinator manages the laboratory QA program offers continuing education for staff and orients new employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with CAP COLA and CLIA regulations.
Oversee COLA accreditation for Deaconess Clinic Lab-West Gateway Reo and Downtown.
Supervise non-laboratory POC testing.
Manage the laboratory QA program including data gathering analysis and meetings.
Provide continuing education opportunities for staff.
Orient new employees as needed.
Qualifications:
Associates degree or equivalent required; Bachelors degree preferred.
At least 2 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
