Job Summary
Title: Lab Manager -Chemical Manufacturing Plant Pasadena TX
Scope of Position
Provides high quality analytical support to production R&D process development material control sales and marketing and external customers. This position directly reports to the Plant Manager.
Responsibility and Authority
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day operations of a quality control laboratory including supervising personnel managing workflow and fostering a collaborative safety-focused work environment.
Oversee laboratory quality systems by maintaining procedures ensuring regulatory compliance supporting continuous improvement initiatives and managing laboratory documentation.
Direct product testing and quality assurance activities including reviewing analytical data approving or rejecting materials and finished products based on established specifications and ensuring accurate reporting.
Manage laboratory resources including equipment maintenance and calibration inventory technical documentation and staff training to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field.
Manufacturing industry experience required.
5 years of laboratory leadership or supervisory experience.
