Lab Engineer, Device Services Infrastructure

As a Infrastructure Lab Engineer you will support large-scale device lab environments that enable hardware and software development across multiple engineering teams. You will combine hands-on lab operations automation infrastructure management and technical troubleshooting to ensure devices remain healthy available and ready for testing. Maintaining a fleet of thousands of iOS/macOS devices and peripherals across multiple labsnEnsuring devices and systems are up and available for testingnProvisioning and deployment of released/unreleased hardwarenDebugging and troubleshooting device hardware/software failuresnDeveloping scripts and automation for managing machine configuration and software deploymentnProviding support to engineering teams in debugging systemsnIdentifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation telemetry and data-driven insightsnSupporting AI-assisted and automated workflows that improve device health recovery outcomes deployment verification and overall lab reliabilitynLeveraging operational metrics and analytics to identify bottlenecks and drive scalable operational improvements

23 years of experience supporting software services in a Unix-based environmentnExposure to automated provisioning processesnBasic scripting experience in Shell or PythonnFamiliarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet Ansible or similarnWorking knowledge of Git or other source control systemsnExperience contributing to shared repositories and collaborative development workflowsnStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teamsnWillingness to learn and apply structured problem-solving approachesnStrong attention to detail and a service-oriented mindset

Experience working in fast-paced engineering environmentsnExposure to working with service-based systems and RESTful servicesnBasic understanding of LAN networking concepts (DNS DHCP routing)nExperience working in structured lab environments with high-density hardware deploymentsnExperience supporting macOS and/or iOS devices in a lab environmentnFamiliarity with device provisioning deployment and lifecycle managementnExperience troubleshooting hardware software and infrastructure issues
