Job Summary
Monroe Health Center is seeking a Full-time Laboratory Assistant for the Craig County Health Center in New Castle Virginia. The ideal candidate is adaptable detail-oriented and passionate about serving a diverse patient population. Must have excellent Electronic Medical Records experience good communication skills and ability to establish a good rapport with staff and patients of all ages. Come join our amazing healthcare team!
Laboratory Assistant Duties:
- Perform specimen collection including venipuncture and capillary draws
- Process label and prepare specimens for in-house testing or external lab transport
- Conduct basic waived/moderate complexity lab tests as permitted
- Maintain lab equipment supplies and cleanliness according to regulatory standards
- Ensure proper documentation and timely reporting of lab results
Qualifications:
- Phlebotomy experience
- Basic laboratory experience or training preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic rural healthcare setting
- Commitment to providing culturally competent patient-centered care
Schedule:
- Full-time 40 hours per week - No Weekends
