This opportunity is full-time during third shift (18% Shift Differential).
In this role you will:
- Perform a vital part of the patient care process by ensuring laboratory specimens are properly processed prepared routed and stored
- Work within an automated laboratory environment including loading and unloading instrumentation and maintaining workflow efficiency
- Perform physically demanding tasks including routine lifting of up to 4050 lbs
- Support instrument maintenance by clearing consumables such as pipette tips and decapped tube caps including proper disposal of biohazard waste
- Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions
- Work in a laboratory environment with biological hazards while adhering to PPE requirements
- Champion safety compliance and quality control
All you need is:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous training or experience in specimen collection or processing
- Strong reading writing and analytical skills
- Ability to operate general laboratory equipment including but not limited to: telephones computers centrifuges and audible alarms
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role including frequent lifting (up to 4050 lbs) standing and repetitive motion in a fast-paced environment
- Comfort working with and disposing of biohazard materials in accordance with safety protocols
