With a staff of 950 and an annual budget of $140 million Project Renewal is one of the larger social service nonprofits in New York : Kitchen WorkerLocations: Opportunities available in: Bronx Brooklyn and Manhattan in our Homeless Shelters and City Beet KitchensSalary: $20.079/hourEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Depending on the shift essential duties of the Kitchen Worker include but are not limited to the following activities:Serving three meals daily for 50-200 residents as well as snacks with particular attention to the needs of residents with dietary restrictionsShifts are 3 hours each and there is flexibility in working 1-3 shifts daily for Breakfast Lunch or DinnerKeeping hot food hot and cold food cold. No for supervising the serving of mealsAbility to operate kitchen equipment safely and responsiblyAssist in the storage control and management of all stock according to regulations and administrative proceduresEnsure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containersSupport with all aspects of daily weekly and monthly cleaning of the kitchen equipment and other food service areasQualifications:Requires NYC Food Handlers CertificateMust be able to work one weekend day as part of shiftProject Renewal is an equal opportunity employer.
