NextGen Hospitality Solutions is seeking a Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef for our upscale steakhouse located in East Hampton. This full-time on-site position provides a remarkable opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise in a high-energy fine dining environment focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences.

As the Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef you will play a crucial role in overseeing the kitchen operations ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. You will lead a talented team of culinary professionals and collaborate closely with front-of-house staff to create a seamless dining experience. This position also offers a competitive salary ranging from $80000 to $85000 annually along with opportunities for professional growth and development within our dynamic hospitality group.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations ensuring food quality and presentation meet our high standards
  • Manage inventory and ordering of kitchen supplies and ingredients
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff fostering career development and enhancing team dynamics
  • Create and update menu items focusing on seasonal and local ingredients
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure a smooth dining experience for guests
  • Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as needed
  • Assist in cost control and budget management for the kitchen
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef in an upscale restaurant setting
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred
