About the Employer

The Westerner has been serving customers since the 1960s and is known for loyal customers experienced staff and high-quality food and service. The kitchen has recently been remodeled and the team is hiring motivated kitchen staff of all experience levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Line cook using grills fryers ovens and BBQ smoker
• Set up and maintain hot and cold food stations
• Plate and garnish food according to quality standards
• Prepare and prep food items
• Receive verify and stock food deliveries
• Assist with inventory and food orders as needed
• Run food to customers when necessary
• Maintain organization sanitation and Salt Lake Health Department standards
• Complete daily cleaning tasks including dishwashing sweeping mopping trash removal and box disposal
• Work efficiently and remain calm during busy service periods

Additional Requirements

• Must have a Salt Lake County Food Handlers Permit
• Must be 21 years-of-age or older
• Must be available to work holidays
• Must be available Friday and Saturday evenings
• Team-oriented attitude and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
