Kindergarten Teacher

Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This teacher along with an assistant teacher is responsible for creating a warm nurturing and engaging classroom environment that supports the academic social and emotional development of young children. The teacher will integrate general studies with Jewish values traditions and culture fostering a strong foundation for lifelong learning and identity.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum in literacy math and social studies.

• Establish strong relationships and develop predictable routines in the classroom

• Integrate Jewish values holidays and traditions into daily instruction as appropriate

• Create a joyful inclusive and respectful classroom

• Use play-based hands-on and inquiry-driven teaching methods

• Support students social and emotional growth emphasizing kindness respect responsibility and self-regulation

• Assess student progress and utilize formal and informal assessment to drive instruction

• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents

• Collaborate with Kindergarten team Judaic studies teachers specialists and support staff

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required)

• Experience working with young children in a classroom setting

• Knowledge of or comfort with Jewish traditions holidays and culture

• Strong classroom management and communication skills
