Job Title: Kindergarten Paraeducator

Position Type: School-Year Full-Time ( School Year)

Woodstock Elementary School is seeking a high-energy engaging Paraeducator to provide support in a kindergarten classroom for the school year. We are looking for a flexible collaborative team player who enjoys working with young children and helping them develop the skills and confidence needed for success in school.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting early learners as they build independence develop social-emotional skills and engage in meaningful learning experiences. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with classroom teachers and school staff in a positive student-centered environment.

• Support the classroom teacher in implementing instructional activities and daily routines.
• Assist students individually and in small groups with academic social and behavioral learning goals.
• Foster student independence and encourage positive problem-solving skills.
• Help create a safe welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support students during classroom transitions recess lunch and other school activities as needed.
• Collaborate effectively with teachers specialists and other staff members.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role.

• Experience working with young children preferred.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students families and colleagues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility patience and a collaborative mindset.
• Commitment to supporting the academic social and emotional growth of all students.
• Ability to meet Vermont Agency of Education paraeducator requirements or willingness to do so.
