Enfield Public Schools is seeking a caring energetic and dedicated Kindergarten Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will support young learners academic social and emotional development and provide a joyful developmentally appropriate introduction to school. This position emphasizes building foundational skills and fostering a lifelong love of learning.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and early childhood best practices
Create a safe nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports students social emotional physical and academic growth
Use a variety of instructional strategies including play-based and hands-on learning
Support early literacy numeracy and social-emotional skill development
Foster curiosity communication creativity and collaboration
Assess and monitor student progress using formative assessment practices
Communicate regularly and effectively with families
Collaborate with colleagues specialists families and the school community
Participate in professional learning to remain current with early childhood standards and instructional practices
Qualifications
Valid CTDOE certification in Elementary PK6 (305)
Bachelors degree in Elementary Education or a related field
Strong understanding of early childhood development and kindergarten instructional practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to create a positive engaging and nurturing learning environment
Commitment to continuous professional growth and collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching kindergarten or early primary grades
