YSSis looking for someone dependable flexible and ready to jump in when needed! As a Kids Club Substitute youll help provide reliable coverage at our Kids Club locations throughout Boone Countybringing patience positivity and plenty of fun along the way.

In this role youll help create a safe engaging and fun environment for elementary-age children before school after school and on no-school days. For many families Kids Club is more than childcareits a place where children can learn explore build friendships and feel supported.

Whether youre leading a game helping with homework serving a healthy snack or simply being a positive role model youll play an important part in helping kids grow in confidence skills and connection.

• Welcome kids as they arrive and help set the tone for a great day.
• Lead games activities and adventures that spark curiosity and creativity.
• Help with homework and cheer on academic winsbig and small.
• Encourage friendships teamwork and positive social skills.
• Create moments that help kids feel seen supported and successful.
• Keep things running smoothly while balancing fun safety and structure.
• Serve snacks share laughs and celebrate everyday achievements.
• Partner with families and school staff to support each childs growth.
• Leave each day knowing youve made a difference in a childs life.

Location:

This position provides flexible substitute coverage across our Boone County Kids Club locationsBoone Elementary Ledges Elementary Ogden Elementary and United Elementary. You may be called to provide coverage at any of these schools based on program needs.

Schedule:

Reliable availability is essential.This is a flexible on-call position designed to provide coverage when regular Kids Club staff are unavailable. Substitute staff should be dependable responsive and willing to step in when coverage is needed. It is expected that staff:

• Maintain availability during Kids Club hours of operation.
• Provide advance notice of dates they will not be available.
• Maintain consistent communication with Kids Club leadership and respond promptly to requests for coverage.
• Accept at least 75% of shifts offered to them.
• Understand that the number and timing of available substitute shifts willvary based on program needs.

What You Absolutely Need:

• At least 16 years old.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within three months of hire.
• Flexible schedule and availability to provide coverage as needed.
• Dependable responsive and willing to step in when substitute coverage is needed.
• A genuine enthusiasm for working with children and helping them succeed.
