Job Summary
Bastrop Veterinary Hospital is seeking a compassionate dependable Kennel Technician to help provide exceptional care for our boarding and hospitalized patients. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with animals and is interested in growing a career in veterinary medicine.
Some of the responsibilities you will own in this role:
- Feed water walk and monitor boarding and hospitalized pets.
- Clean and disinfect kennels cages treatment areas and exam rooms.
- Bathe patients as directed.
- Wash fold and restock laundry and hospital supplies.
- Clean food and water bowls litter boxes and bedding.
- Assist the veterinary team with patient handling and restraint.
- Report patient concerns promptly.
- Maintain a clean organized hospital while following all safety and sanitation protocols.
What Youll Bring:
- Passion for animal care and patient well-being.
- Reliable positive and team-oriented.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous kennel animal care or veterinary experience is a plus but not required.
