Printing Pressman - KBA / Heidelberg

Location: Richmond VA Area (Onsite)

Compensation: $25-$35/hour DOE $2500 Sign-On Bonus

Schedule:

• Night Shift (7pm - 7am)
• 12-hour rotating schedule
• 2-2-3 schedule (work two days off two days work three days then rotate the following week)
• Averages approximately 40 hours per week

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Printing Pressman to join a growing specialty printing manufacturer producing high-quality custom products for customers nationwide. This is an opportunity to join a stable family-owned organization with modern equipment strong leadership and a reputation for quality.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating sheet-fed offset printing presses performing make-readies maintaining color quality troubleshooting production issues and keeping presses running efficiently with minimal waste and downtime.

Candidates with Koenig & Bauer (KBA) experience are highly preferred but operators with Heidelberg Komori or similar sheet-fed offset press experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform make-readies setup operation and maintenance of sheet-fed offset printing presses
• Review job specifications and prepare presses for production runs
• Monitor color registration and print quality throughout production
• Make necessary press adjustments to maintain quality standards
• Troubleshoot mechanical and production issues to minimize downtime
• Perform routine maintenance cleaning and upkeep of press equipment
• Follow production procedures documentation and quality standards
• Maintain productivity goals while minimizing material waste
• Work closely with production and support teams to meet customer deadlines
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment

Requirements

• Experience operating KBA Heidelberg Komori or similar sheet-fed offset printing presses
• Strong understanding of make-readies color management registration and print quality
• Ability to read and follow job specifications
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset

Preferred

• KBA sheet-fed offset experience
• Commercial printing direct mail envelope packaging or specialty print experience
• Experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments
• Willingness to assist with training and knowledge sharing
