JV Head Volleyball Coach

An independent school for girls in grades 6-12 inspired by the teachings of the Catholic Church Montrose School was founded in 1979 and is located in the welcoming community of Medfield 17 miles southwest of Boston. Montrose School attracts a talented and growing student population from 50 towns and communities.

Montrose seeks a part-time JV Head Volleyball Coach from August 24 - October 31 2026. The JV Head Coach will run practices 3 times per week starting at 3:30 PM that are approximately 1 hour in duration. Game days will require a greater time commitment however there are no weekend commitments.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspects of the JV team including both organizing and supervising games and practices as well as uniform and equipment management
• Assess players skills monitor players during competition and practice and provide guidance for players to improve
• Instill the values of respect team spirit passion teamwork and dedication
• Improve skills confidence and commitment in all athletes

Experience Requirements:

• Prior playing and coaching experience
• An understanding of the rules and regulations of the game
• Knowledge of effective skills and strategies that contribute to team growth and success

Education/Certification Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree
• CPR Certification (may complete upon hiring)
• Valid drivers license and ability to drive

It is expected that the JV Head Coach will work in coordination with the Assistant Coach Varsity Coaches and Athletic Director to create a unified Volleyball Program. All activities and behaviors should meet appropriate professional standards and adhere to the philosophy and mission of Montrose School.
