Job Summary
As a supporting member of the team you will help leverage trading platforms and analytics to support efficient execution by senior dealers while learning best-in-class trading practices. The successful candidate should be eager to learn comfortable with ambiguity and capable of balancing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced market environment. You will support the development of relationships with key banking counterparties and work cross-functionally across Amazons diverse business lines to help meet the companys global trading needs.
This position requires a motivated individual who will assist in continuously improving Treasury processes while maintaining a rigorous control environment and compliance with various Amazon policies.
Key job responsibilities
- Execution Support: Assist senior traders in executing foreign exchange equity and commodity trades to support Amazons global business operations
- Market Monitoring: Support real-time monitoring of market conditions liquidity and pricing across multiple venues and counterparties to help ensure optimal execution
- Reporting & Analytics: Create maintain and distribute detailed reports that track the performance of execution metrics including fill rates rejection rates and price improvements against internal KPIs
- Transaction Cost Analysis: Assist in conducting regular Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) to help optimize trading performance and identify areas for improvement
- Trading Dashboard Maintenance: Help design and maintain trading dashboards that provide real-time visibility into execution performance market conditions and liquidity metrics
- Counterparty Coordination: Support the management of relationships with key liquidity providers including helping to compile data for periodic counterparty performance reviews
- Settlement & Operations: Monitor trade settlement processes and assist in resolving any trading-related issues with counterparties in a timely manner
- Process Documentation: Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for trading activities across all asset classes ensuring documentation remains current and accurate
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal groups including Global Payments Finance Operations and Technology teams on trading infrastructure improvements and day-to-day operational needs
- Technology & Automation Support: Collaborate with technology teams to help enhance trading platforms support API connectivity testing and assist in automating execution processes
- Research: Stay current with market developments regulatory changes and new trading technologies that could impact execution strategies and summarize findings for the broader team
- Compliance Support: Assist in regular reviews of execution policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements
- Ad-Hoc Support: Provide general support to the FX trading organization including assisting with ad-hoc analysis preparing materials for management presentations and contributing to team projects as needed
- 3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4 years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 4 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 4 years of identifying leading and executing opportunities to improve automate standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelors degree in engineering statistics or business or Bachelors degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering process re-engineering quality assurance) experience
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- Experience as a lean sensei or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
- 4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
