We are currently in search of a Job Readiness Junior Trainer for a Workforce Development Organization. The position is on-site in the Bronx NY. This is a full-time temporary-to-permanent position.

ORGANIZATION TYPE: Workforce Development Organization

LOCATION: Bronx NY (Hunts Point)

POSITION TITLE: Job Readiness Junior Trainer

SCHEDULE: 40 hours/week

DURATION: Temporary to Permanent

HOURLY RATE: $24.00

Is This Your Dream Job A socially conscious company is seeking a Job Readiness Junior Trainer to design and facilitate workshops on job readiness vocational skills and industry exploration topics for low-income and underserved job seekers. The ideal candidate has teaching or training experience and is excited to create curriculum based on labor market trends and participant needs. This role is temporary to permanent with an anticipated salary of $45-$50k for the permanent role after a 4-month temp period.

Our Ideal Candidate:

Bachelors degree required

Prior experience in teaching workforce development or delivering training for adults preferred

Additional education in education instructional design or social services a plus

Ability to manage a classroom and de-escalate conflict

Proficiency with MS Office Suite required

How You Will Spend Your Day:

Deliver job readiness and workforce development trainings for adult learners

Develop lesson plans curriculum and training materials

Collaborate with internal teams to tailor trainings to client needs

Support clients with job searches education applications and career assessments

Refer clients to training programs and certification opportunities

Gather feedback track progress and adjust trainings as needed

Maintain class rosters attendance reports and issue certificates

Manage the classroom to ensure a positive learning environment

Promote professionalism and support clients in securing full-time employment
