Junior Systems Engineer

The Opportunity:

• Begin your systems engineering career on an Agile program delivering GEOINT capabilities to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).

• Learn the discipline hands-on requirements interfaces verification with senior engineers guiding you.

• Contribute to mission-critical systems that enable intelligence analysis and mission execution.

• Build a foundation across software data and infrastructure engineering in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support requirements analysis documentation and traceability under senior guidance.

• Assist in developing and maintaining interface documentation and engineering artifacts.

• Support verification and validation activities including test documentation and execution support.

• Help investigate system issues and document analysis and resolutions.

• Maintain engineering documentation and configuration records.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies as part of a cross-functional team.

• Follow established engineering processes checklists and standards.

Qualifications:
Required:

• Security Clearance (TS/SCI) with ability to obtain Polygraph

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related technical discipline (equivalent experience accepted).

• 03 years of engineering experience (academic internship or professional).

• Foundational understanding of systems engineering or software development lifecycle concepts.

• Strong attention to detail and written communication skills.

• Ability to apply established processes and work effectively within a team.

Desired:

• Exposure to requirements or test management tools.

• Coursework or projects involving GIS data systems or cloud technologies.

• Familiarity with Agile development practices.
