Junior Program Protection Security Analyst
Aether Aerospace is currently seeking a Program Protection Security Analyst Junior level to support our government customer on NAS Patuxent River. Overview: TSA is currently seeking a Program Protection Security Analyst Junior level to support our government customer at NAS Patuxent River MD. The candidate must be proficient and capable of execution of duties pertaining to personnel security physical security and information security. Implement security processes necessary to protect classified information with strict adherence to NISPOM DoDM 5200.01 Vol. 1-3 DODI 5200.02 DoDI 5200.48 and other applicable Executive Order and DoD regulations. This position will require routine interface with all levels of management and government customers.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for safeguarding transmitting and destroying classified materials.
- Ensure that classified information is properly secured and access to classified information is limited to appropriately cleared personnel with a need-to-know.
- Review Navy and DoD regulations and maintain/update local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support and execute the command security education and awareness program ensuring personnel are briefed on policy changes.
- Facilitate the reporting and initial inquiry of security violations or incidents involving the potential compromise of classified information.
- Coordinate the maintenance and distribution of Security Classification Guides (SCGs) under command cognizance.
- Interpret and apply DD-254s to ensure compliance when access to classified information is provided to cleared contractors.
- Familiarity with Operations Security (OPSEC) principles and DoD mandates regarding the safeguarding and marking of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
- Utilize the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) to verify clearances access level and send/receive visit requests.
- Enforce strict security procedures for visitors requiring access to classified information or spaces.
- Vet attendee clearance lists and process large classified meetings and conferences.
- Serve as the primary Point of Contact (POC) for issuing and managing building access.
- Experience operating electronic Access Control Systems (ACS) and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) (e.g. Lenel CCURE).
- Control the opening closing and access rosters for all Labs and secure conference rooms.
- Schedule and coordinate conference rooms for both unclassified and classified meetings.
- Ensure all classified items and packages leaving the facility are correctly wrapped marked and documented in accordance with DoD/DoN regulations.
- Knowledgeable in the Security Field of Physical Security.
Qualifications Required:
- High School Diploma and one (1) year or more of security related experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience performing functional duties in at least one of the following domains: Personnel Security (PERSEC) Information Security (INFOSEC) Industrial Security Special Access Program (SAP) Security or Contractor Program Security. (Note: This experience can include time spent assisting or working under the oversight of senior security personnel).
- Minimum of 2 years of specific experience supporting NAVAIR / NAWCAD operations and environments.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Strong writing ability and demonstrated competence in SharePoint Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel).
- Organized self-starter who has demonstrated internal motivation take ownership can work well independently or with a team and with minimal supervision.
- Good interpersonal skills and an effective communicator both orally and in writing.
- Possess an Active SECRET or TOP SECRET clearance prior to start.
Qualifications Desired:
- Familiarity with DISS.
- Cross-functional knowledge across PERSEC INFOSEC and Industrial Security.
- Hands-on experience working with the BASIC II and System Authorization Access Request (SAAR) repositories to include processing and routing.
- Possession or pursuit of CDSE Security Professional Education Development (SPēD) certifications (e.g. Security Fundamentals Professional Certification - SFPC)
TSA is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employees. The salary range for this position is $65000- $75000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
