Junior Privacy and Cybersecurity Associate

The ideal candidate will have:

• A solid understanding of federal privacy laws (e.g. TCPA GLBA FCRA CAN-SPAM COPPA and the FTC Act) state privacy laws (e.g. CCPA) international privacy laws and regimes (e.g. GDPR) and technology and data flows;
• Experience counseling clients on privacy compliance aspects of transactional work including mergers and acquisitions financings capital markets transactions and technology transactions;
• Experience with drafting privacy and security policies negotiating privacy-related contracts or data processing agreements;
• Superior academic credentials;
• Excellent oral written and interpersonal skills; and
• Strong professional references.
• Experience with AI counseling is desirable but not essential.
• Exceptional candidates looking to transition to privacy and cybersecurity with experience in either M&A or technology transactions will be considered.
• Bar membership in the jurisdiction where applying (as appropriate) or eligibility to take the next available exam is required.

Depending on the role the actual base salary offered may depend upon a variety of factors including without limitation the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position years of relevant experience level of education attained certifications or other professional licenses held and if applicable the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
