Junior Inventory Buyer

• Assists Managers in selecting inventory to stock
• Works with detailed historic data to determine order quantities
• Evaluates discount opportunities when purchasing
• Generates new purchase orders to meet ordering requirements
• Tracks purchase orders and deals with delivery and stock issues
• Assists Managers with the monitoring and evaluation of slow dead and excess inventory
• Assists with periodic inventory counts and participate in annual full physical count
• Assists with inventory management activities as needed including implementing process enhancements to streamline the replenishment function
• Maintains job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities reading professional publications maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations
• This job is demanding in terms of knowledge skills commitment and all other job-related qualifications. Urgency and pressure for prompt accurate results are routine. Multi-tasking and the ability to handle and manage interruptions is expected.
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.
• Review special orders with purchasing agents
