Bauer Foundation Corp. is seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join our growing team. This role is responsible for preparing take offs schedules and cost estimates across a variety of contract types including lump sum time and materials and other delivery methods.

Reports to: Estimating Manager

Position: Full Time

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM

Location: Odessa FL (occasional travel is required to attend pre-bid meetings site visits conferences etc.)

Job Summary:

The Junior Estimator will review bid specifications and drawings to develop a thorough understanding of project requirements and ensure accurate competitive proposals.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position also requires proactive and consistent follow-up with clients to gather feedback on submitted proposals and support ongoing business development efforts. The Junior Estimator will collaborate closely with internal teams throughout all phases of the bidding process. Exposure to scheduling software such as Primavera is considered a strong plus.

Requirements:

• Experience in deep foundations or heavy civil works is a plus.
• Some project estimator skills that include performing basic engineering calculations being familiar with engineering terminology and effectively communicate with Engineers Project Managers and vendors is a plus.

• Ability to read understand and organize construction plans and specifications
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and with minimal structure while exercising sound judgment.
• Strong ability to multitask prioritize and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel Power Point Word Outlook).
• Preferred knowledge of AutoCAD
• Preferred knowledge of Primavera P6 / MS Project
• Assist the team on other relevant submittals and documents.
• Generate dashboards and status reports for management.
• Any other relevant duties assigned by the Estimating Manager.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in construction management or engineering
• 0-2 years of experience
• Preferred related Estimating experience.
