Job Summary
Serves as the point of contact for judges court administrators and court staff who have questions and issues. Assists judicial districts by crafting solutions to local administrative needs including case management facilities management or fiscal administration.
Plans organizes coordinates and directs judicial program operations in the minor and trial courts across Pennsylvania.
Develops and conducts training and continuing education programs for judges court administrators and court staff through both in-person and webinar training formats. Serves as an instructor at continuing education sessions for magisterial district judges annual new Court Administrator school statewide conferences workshops and other presentations as requested using strong oral communication and presentation skills. Creates and modifies educational and training materials including PowerPoint presentations handouts and other written documentation at a high professional level.
Collects analyzes and disseminates data and information regarding court program operations. Conducts surveys as needed analyzes data and produces reports detailing survey results.
Calculates annual Judicial Needs Assessment (JNA) data using caseload statistics workload algorithms vacancy information and other data. Provides updated data to the Director/Assistant Director annually.
Develops and maintains documents spreadsheets and presentations using Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint or using other software with a high level of proficiency. Utilizes other court specific software to access information runs reports provides data analysis and assists with requests for information.
Develops content determines presenters and plans all aspects of the New Court Administrator course. Provides ongoing assistance to new Court Administration staff and President Judges; assists with court staffing transitions.
Coordinates and plans bi-annual regional meetings to facilitate regular interaction between judicial districts and communication with the AOPC.
Ongoing involvement with Continuity of Operations (COOP) Planning and Emergency Action Planning (EAP) including presentations on the topic and answering inquiries from court staff.
Bachelors degree in Judicial Business or Public Administration or a closely related field; PLUS
Four years of experience in court management or five years of experience in professional analytical work in program analysis or
Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid drivers license required.
Occasional overnight travel and state-wide travel required.
Satisfactory criminal background check required.
