Job Summary
Job Title: Controls Engineer 3
Location: 8826 W Rt 24 Mapleton Il 61547
Notes:
- Position is in control and automation space
- They are running into a spot where they have actual work order they must complete
- Looking a build control automation team
- This role will eventually convert to FTE
- Environment is foundry environment/factory setup
- 5 years of on the floor troubleshooting experience is desired
- Rockwell version has been around for a long time they are in the process of standardizing it.
- Project management and project engineering experience
- Wont be running any individual capitol projects
- Escalation maintenance and electrician frits they will escalate to liability team; at this stage they find out why certain process is breaking down again at this stage this team comes into the picture. If this team fails to solve problem OEMs are called in -This team is last point of defense
- Existing facility so not building the structure from ground up they are just building new structure. They will frame things to make Mapleton operation stable enough for future automation requests that will come in.
- They will build the standards from ground up and this is already work in progress
- Lot of capital investment around Mapleton facility lot of it is around safety.
- They receive emails and call for inputs from other suppliers and other facilities may need good opportunity to give our inputs (from down machine to setting the standard for decades to come)
- Why join the team this team will get to decide what is good bad and ugly. What you do here has a ripple effect throughout CAT. Lot of opportunity to develop training programs for younger engineers.

Top Skills:
- Rockwell PLC (must have) with any combination of anything below
- Allen-Bradley PLC programming
- Siemens
Disqualifiers:
- Someone that has hopped jobs every 6-8 months
- Profiles with less than 5 years experience
