Job Summary:

• We are seeking an experienced Backend Java AWS Developer to join our team in Wilmington DE.
• The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java and AWS with expertise in building scalable backend applications supporting enterprise-grade data processing and contributing to cloud-based ETL modernization initiatives.
• This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment and offers the opportunity to work on large-scale migration projects from legacy ETL systems to AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop enhance and maintain backend applications using Java.
• Design and build high-quality scalable maintainable and efficient code.
• Automate development and operational processes where applicable.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Support large-scale data processing and batch processing workloads.
• Participate in migrating legacy SAS ETL processes to AWS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Troubleshoot optimize and improve backend application performance.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in Java development.
• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Strong backend application development experience.
• Excellent coding debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in large enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of data processing and batch processing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Apache Spark.
• Knowledge of Snowflake.
• Exposure to AI/ML technologies.
• Experience with AWS EMR AWS Glue and Amazon S3.
• Experience using Terraform.
