Role: Java Developer
Location: Bentonville AR (4 days onsite/week)
Duration: 12 Months Contract to Hire

Education Requirement - Bachelors Degree in: Computer Science Information Technology Or related field
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3 years (Intermediate) or 5 years (Specialist) of backend software development experience
Proficiency in Python and/or Java for production-grade services
Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture
Familiarity with cloud-native development on GCP or equivalent cloud platform
Working knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
Strong software engineering fundamentals and design pattern knowledge

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs in Python and/or Java
Build and operate microservices within containerized environments (Docker Kubernetes)
Integrate with GCP-native services including Pub/Sub Cloud Run and Cloud SQL
Collaborate with Data Engineering and AI teams to build data-serving APIs and platform services
Participate in code reviews sprint ceremonies and architecture discussions
Ensure PCI-DSS compliance and security best practices within payment-adjacent systems
Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and infrastructure-as-code practices
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in high-volume retail or e-commerce systems
Exposure to event-driven architecture (Kafka Pub/Sub)
GCP Professional Developer certification
PCI-DSS or payment systems integration experience
