JAVA BOQ Framework

Position: Java / Boq framework

Duration: 12 Months

Location: San Jose CA(Hybrid)

Requesting Java / Boq framework profiles local to San Jose CA with someone who has past experience working with Google - POps Engineering. See below for details.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Googles primary backend programming languages: Java (with a strong understanding of Apps Framework)
• Experience with modern web application development including TypeScript JavaScript HTML and CSS.
• Understanding of Googles internal Remote Procedure Call (RPC) mechanisms primarily Stubby.
• Experience building and deploying services using Googles Server Platform specifically Boq for streamlined production-ready services or potentially Pod.
• Demonstrated experience with Googles recommended web frameworks: Boq Angular or Boq Wiz for building performant and feature-rich user interfaces.
• Familiarity with data integration patterns and platforms used at Google
• Experience with database technologies including Spanner.
• Knowledge of designing and implementing APIs
• Understanding of continuous integration and deployment processes within Googles landscape.
• Excellent problem-solving debugging and communication skills.
• Someone who has worked with Google - POps Engineering in the past.

Responsibilities:

• Design develop test deploy and maintain new features and enhancements for high-visibility Googles internal applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues ensuring the stability and performance of production systems.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support critical applications.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions promoting best practices in code health security and scalability.
• Engage in code reviews and mentor other engineers.
• Migrate applications from one platform / framework to another.
