Hourly rate for Peer Support Specialist with Certification by DMHA as a Certified Peer $17.50/hour
Hourly rate for Peer Support Specialist with NO Certification $16/hour

Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals with substance use disorders as they prepare for recovery and community reentry.
- Engage individuals early during booking and intake to identify recovery support needs.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and advocacy within the Vanderburgh County Jail using a person-centered trauma-informed approach
- Connect participants with treatment recovery and community resources.
- Assist with reentry planning to promote successful transitions back into the community.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Certification preferred; eligibility required.
- To be considered certified must have either:
- Indiana Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP-DMHA) or
- Certified Peer Recovery Coach (CPRC-A or CPRC ICAADA)
