About the Role
AnIT Technicianis responsible forproviding first level support to Altasciences users in their usage of the tools provided by the Altasciences IT department such as computers telephones software laptops mobile phones etc. The IT Technicianresponds to and tracks user requests and solutions via an automated Helpdesk System.
What Youll Do Here
The computer technician providesaccurateand creative solutions to user problems.
Enhance and develop quality support methods and communication skills through coaching and feedback.
Assistin the resolution of user and support issues among company sites to ensuretimelydistribution of knowledge and positive impact on user satisfaction.
Research resolve and respond to questions received via phonecalls andemailsin a timely manner.
Participate in team projects that enhance the quality or efficiency of help desk service.
Through the Helpdesk ticketing system log calls and document the issue all user communication and the solution of the incident.
Identifyrecurrent problems and help usersto resolvethem.
Troubleshoot problemsencounteredby staff members useraccounts email and user profiles creation / management.
Prepare computers following the procedure in place for delivery to employees loading them with theappropriate softwareand operating system.
Suggest improvements and upgrades to hardware and software.
What Youll Need to Succeed
College degree in an IT-related program
1-3 years of related experience
CompTIA Acertification
Basic to Intermediate knowledge in the configurationinstallation andtroubleshooting of Windows 10/11and Cisco Phone Equipment.
Basic to Intermediate knowledge of PC and laptop hardware.
Basic to intermediate knowledge in mobile smartphones iPhone Android.
Basic to Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office printer management DHCP DNS TCP/IP Active Directory Remote Desktop Services AirWatch Mobile Device Management Windows DeploymentServicesWDS Antivirus software and VPN technology.
What We Offer
The pay range estimated for this position is $22.00 - $28.00 per hour. Please note that hourly rates/salaries vary within the range based on factors including but not limited to prior relevant experience skills education certification location as well as internal equity and market data.
