IT Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to users including set up and configuration
• Provide Tier 1 and 2 levels of Help Desk support to include covering Help Desk phone e-mail support requests and Help Desk tickets.
• Ensure the security backup recovery and disaster recovery plans are followed
• Sets up and maintains workstations including hardware/software configuration.
• Coordinate computer repairs and software upgrades with end-users.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Competencies

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
• Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers internal and external customers.

Compensation

• $23.50 per hour (DOE)
